Low tides!

Low Tides

I walk beside you

Across mudflats in

My blue gumboots,

Over cracking oyster

Shells, green ribbed-pipi, The traces of waving birds.

When the tide is out, what lies exposed:

River threads of mud, old brown stones,

Tiny mussels to grow;

My sole prints left
On the ocean’s

Bones.

Wow! Do you know how to blow a bubble into another?

Today on the 16th of February 2017 Room 8 and I went to the Pakuranga Intermediate school for technicraft . What I have learned from Technicraft was how to blow a bubble into another bubble inside the bubble. A bubble is in a bubble inside another. After that Miss Gawith who is my science teacher gave us some materials. Our materials were 1 container and straws. Then Miss Gawith added the 100 millilitres of water into our container. When I blew a bubble it kept on making a Caterpillar. Today I really had a fun day.

Hello I'm back again!, my name is Akesa and I'm 10 years old and soon I will be 11. I like to play soccer and my favourite subjects are reading, spelling, writing and math. As I'm the oldest in the family I'm trying my best to achieve more, I like to play games with my cousins at home my favourite colour is pink and I like to play guitar. • The purple candles represents love, hope and peace.
• Advent means 'coming' in Latin.
• The pink candle symbolises joy.
